I know, there is even a common “advice” that you should immediately take the paint a tone lighter than you liked in the catalog. And then, they say, on the wall there will be just the desired shade. In practice, all this does not work – too many factors affect.

In your particular apartment, there may be reflexes from a brightly colored house standing too close. Or, on the contrary, you have huge windows and a sunny side – all shades will seem brighter. What kind of light bulbs do you have? It may happen that under artificial light, unpleasant shades (which were not visible during the day) will appear in the painted fragment.

There are dozens of factors – it’s not just “take the paint a tone lighter.” It’s easier to just try it on.
